My Current Obsessions

10 of my favorite things currently

1. Sperry Top-Spider Authentic Original 2 Eye Glitter Boat Shoe, $95. I got these just in time for the holiday season.

2. Forever 21 Favorite Boyfriend Cardigan in Olive, $20. This comfy and cozy cardigan keeps me warm while I get use to this East Coast Fall weather. And it fits me better than my brother's cardigans.

3. Spectrum Unrefined Coconut Oil, $9. I use coconut oil like nobody's business! I use it as an all-over-body moisturizer and a night time moisturizer. I also use it as a moisturizer on my LO and on his scalp to treat his cradle cap. I also use a powdery version and put it in my oatmeal to help the production of breast milk.

4. Peacekeeper Cause-metics Super Fruit Balm, $8. This organic combination of goji and pomegranate keeps my lips super soft and healthy throughout the day with just one application.

5. Ebony Magazine. My monthly subscription helps me get through my lengthy and numerous doctor visits.

6. Hydro floss Oral Irrigator, $129.99. I've never been much of a flosser but this allows me to keep a healthy mouth without having to deal with smelly dental floss.

7. Mia Lace Up Combat Inspired Boots, $51. These boots are the staple item to many of my outfits this Fall. And the side zipper makes it so easy for me to run out the door, and it also allows me to feel safe when I'm holding my LO in public.

  8. Maybeline Fit Me Concealer, $6.50. Is a life saver! Really! This light weight and flawless concealer provides coverage that hides the dark circles I've inherited from my sleepless nights.

9. Flower Lash Knockout Volumizing Mascara, $7. With one sweep my lashes appear dramatically fuller without any clumps.

10. Maybeline Color Sensational Vivids, $7.50. Three of my favorite lipsticks come from this line. On the Fire Red, Brazen Berry and Hot Plum give me kissable lips.

5 Bold Trench Coats Under $100 Perfect for this Fall

Miroslava Duma in Valentino's pre-fall 2013 khaki floral print trench coat. Credit:Getty
I have been going "gaga" over the floral print trench coat Miroslava Duma wore this past week, at Valentino's Spring 2014 fashion show in Paris. The once editor for Harper's Bazaar, and now freelance writer has always been an internet style star whom I have always admired. This feminine and unconventional trench spoke volumes to me when I saw it, followed by the thought that I could never afford it o_O. But I was so intrigued, that I knew I had to find an affordable version! Not only is it chic for any woman, but it is  staple piece that can add glam to any new mom's fit. Pair these trench coats with twill pants and pumps, or over a plain white tee, jeans and ballet flats for a quick yet glamorous look. Here are 5 affordable coats that will leave the term "frumpy mom" in its trenches.

1. Merona Floral Trench Coat $34.98, target.com

2. Promithi Women's Slim Woolen Trench Coat $49.99, amazon.com

3. ASOS Casual Leather Look Sleeve Trench $101.26, asos.com

4. ASOS PETITE Exclusive 70's Trench $55.69, asos.com

5. SuvinShop Capelet Trench Coat with Sash $110, yesstyle.com

8 Places to Shop the Best Maternity Wear

One of the plus sides of being pregnant is that you have a legitimate excuse to buy a whole new wardrobe. With the boom in designers and retailers catering to maternity fashion there's a larger variety of frocks you can wear to accentuate your new and growing bump. Whether your budget is maxi or mini there's lots for you to choose from. Tell me, where's your favorite place to shop for maternity clothes!

1. Gap Maternity has always been a favorite with expectant moms. The classic brand offers chic pieces that are perfect for your changing shape. Be chic and always comfortable without losing your style. Get the look at Gap for $24.99.

2. Asos Maternity has managed to incorporate pregnancy-friendly features into their stylish mainline collection. Features such as soft ruching, adjustable fastenings and flexible waistbands make Asos Maternity the perfect fusion of fashion, comfort and flawless fit. Get this look for $54.00.

3. Unbuttoned Maternity is one of the coolest "contemporary maternity" retailers. The cool thing about it is it reflects more of a 'rock star" style. Think sleeveless Ramones t-shirts, shredded leggings, camo sweaters and silk kimono dresses. Get this Angelina Strapless Maxi Dress for $69.00.

4. H&M is a great source for cheap and on-trend bump style. Not all locations carry its small but well selected maternity fashions, but if you're shopping online, look for the MAMA label among its other tops. Get this MAMA Blouse online for $29.95.

5. The great news- Isabella Oliver's Maisy Sequin Maternity Jacket has been marked down. The bad news- it's now $124. Don't worry, though--the sales and even some regular priced items provide plenty of more reasonable buys at this high-fashion maternity webstore.

6. Fillyboo is a Boho-inspired maternity fashion label that offers beautiful, youthful and wearable maternity clothes. Their prices are a little on the high side--but within reach. Snag "The Shine" Knitted Nursing Sweater for $110.

7. Who doesn't love Etsy? The site is great for scoring handmade and lightly used maternity clothes. Alice B's Maternity Shop is a fairytale full of femininity and maternal innocence created for pretty, playful and stylish moms to be. Shop this Dream Cream Maternity Tunic for $120.47.

8. I am so happy TopShop's Maternity came around in time for my first pregnancy. It has great designs and quality for a great price. Get this Maternity Scribble News Dress for $70.

Diva On A Budget

I'm a girl with many loves. I love fashion, nature, the quirky people of the world, food and a great bargain. When it comes to fashion, of course I like the "to-die-for" luxury designer labels (who doesn't) but my love really rests with ready to wear lines such as H&M, Loft and American Apparel. My mom is a natural born haggler and thankfully I was blessed with that same gift. I'm a predator and my prey is great style at even greater prices. To fulfill this obsession I'm always on the prowl. In the past I frequented boutiques at least 4 times a week but since losing my job and becoming pregnant I've had to find different ways to satisfy my thread cravings. And that's when I formed a rewarding relationship with the Internet. Sites like EBay, Instagram and Amazon are my never far from home retail stores. I didn't know it until now but I guess I can say I'm also somewhat of an environmentalist with all the gas I'm saving by shopping off these sites hehe. Below are my latest finds on EBay which are still available and would be a great addition to any one's wardrobe.
